You can request B&W from any of the color images that we take.

Our main flash units are, as they have been for the twenty-one years in the wedding business, Vivitar 283s and now with digital we are carrying Canon 580EX flash units for the documentary photojournalism that we are doing.

   At Roy Dressel Photography we are now a full digital studio. We have been working with digital since 2000, gradually working it into our work flow and using it more and more as the quality increased. Digital allows us flexibility, we can offer both color and quality B&W from the same image, retouching the image is easily done in house, your entire preview book can be easily posted to the web for all to see and order from, even when they can not have the preview book in hand. With digital we also find we are shooting a lot more documentary photojournalistic style photography. It has changed the way we record your wedding day. 

      We have selected the Canon 20D and the 30D as our camera of choice for digital work. They are 8.2 mega pixel cameras that we have made 30x40 inch prints from. I have been involved in photography  for over thirty years, and  these Canons are some of the best designed cameras I have ever used.

     We have three cameras at your wedding, one to photograph the formal posed photos, one used by the assistant  to photograph the documentary photojournalistic images and still another in the case as a back up. We bring along a complete selection of  lenses from wide angle to telephoto. This gives us the ability to produce the look that we want and to make sure that we can cover everything that comes up on that day. 

We also back up our flash units, we have the two that are on the cameras plus another on in the case, along with extra cords and batteries. And of course, plenty of digital memory cards, normally we will pack long enough  to cover two weddings, just to make sure.
