Seattle’s Space Needle was built for the 1964 Worlds Fair. Recently remolded, it is still a stunning site and Seattle’s landmark. Paris has the Eiffel Tower, Seattle has the Needle. It is quite an attraction and garners lots of tourist traffic. You buy a tick and you get two trips to the top, one during the day and one at night. Up top, they have recently installed a rotating glass floor. Quite fun. The view is tremendous both in the day time and at night, but the needle is an impressive site itself. From many vantage points, including reflected in the glass balls of the Chihuly Garden and Glass exhibit nearby.
